Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
